Animal Shelters can be both positive (no-kill shelters) and negative (some kill shelters) in a community.  Through this portfolio I explore how different types of animal shelters have these effects on the community.    

One of the many ways that animals are able to survive is through the help and passion of foster parents.  Many families or individuals will take in a dog and nurture them back to health out of pure love for animals.  This is a poem that I found truly inspiring about fostering pets.

This is where I volunteered my time.  I fell in love with what they had to offer and I will continue to volunteer, and when I am older, will become a foster home.
